ASSISTANCE STEEL SUPERVISOR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In order to repair ships and construct new structures, fitters and welders must be supervised and their work must be coordinated.
They must mark, cut, assemble, and weld steel structures.
Analyse and carefully review the client’s work specification to help with resource provision, material selection, and quotation for steel repair project bidding and execution.

Fabrication supervisor- Rivers state

To check that repairs were made in compliance with the client’s specifications and any applicable codes and standards, inspect the installation of steel plates and welded areas.
Carry out workforce training and development under supervision.
Organize a daily toolbox meeting with the welders and fitters to make sure the project is properly planned before it is executed.
In accordance with the Shipyard personnel development policy, evaluate the performance of the workforce under supervision.

Read and interprets structural drawings
