Is Baba-Ahmed from Mauritania?

Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed is a Nigerian economist and politician . He was born on the 7th of July 1969 in ZARIA, KADUNA STATE. From these we can see that he was born in  the northern part of Nigeria, however information central cannot say for sure if he is really hausa by tribe but since the HAUSA tribe are more dominant in this part of the country it wouldn’t be outrageous to assume that he is. Although his family is actually said to have come from where is modern day Mauritania as livestock farmers.
Considering all these factors as well as the fact that he established his university(Baze University) in Abuja and that he is aspiring to become the vice-president of Nigeria, we can conclude that although his ancestral roots are from MAURITANIA he is a fully fledged Nigerian.
