The Honourable Minister of Education (HME), Mallam Adamu Adamu, hereby invites interested and qualified Nigerians to compete in the 2023/2024 Federal Government Scholarship Awards for:
ARRANGEMENT FOR BILATERAL EDUCATION (BEA)

I) Undergraduate (UG) programmes admissible in Venezuela, Morocco, Egypt, Hungary, and Russia;
ii) Postgraduate (PG) studies are admissible in China, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, and Russia (for those whose first degrees were earned in Russia).
2.0 It is suggested that all qualifying candidates:
a. Go to www.education.gov.ng, the website of the Federal Ministry of Education, and click the Federal Scholarship Board ICON on the Home Page.
b. Read the instructions before completing the online application form.
c. Print the Application Form after completion.
3.0 RESEARCH AREAS
Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Science, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, and Medicine (extremely) at the undergraduate level, Engineers in aviation, neurology, and Postgraduate standing (Master’s and Ph.D. degrees) in all fields.

4.0 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
All applicants for undergraduate degree programmes must have at least seven (7) Distinctions (As and Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates, WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) exclusively in the subjects pertinent to their fields of study, including English Language and Mathematics. For non-African countries, certificates should not be older than two (2) years (2021 & 2022), and they should only be one (1) year old (2022) for African nations. The age range is between 17 and 20. A First Degree with a 1st Class or at least a 2nd Class Upper Division is required for all applicants to Postgraduate degree programmes.
The N.Y.S.C. Programme must have been completed by all applicants, and the maximum age for Masters and Ph.D. programmes is 35 and 40, respectively. Only certifications issued by the N.Y.S.C. for discharge or exemption are accepted; and Proof that you are prepared to be fired by your employer.
NOTE TO ALL APPLICANTS IN GENERAL:
i) Since the BEA countries do not speak English, applicants should be ready to enroll in a one-year foreign language course in their preferred country, which will serve as the required medium of instruction;
iii) All applicants for the Hungarian Scholarship must visit the website www.stipendiumhungaricum.hu, which was launched in the middle of November and will close on January 16th, 2023, and submit applications for up to two fields of study in the order of choice.

vi) The website http://education-in-Russia.com, which will launch in November, should be visited by all applicants for Russia.
v) All Russian Postgraduate Scholarship applicants must have earned their first degree in Russia;
vi) Online upload of the following certificates by all applicants;
- WAEC/WASSCE UNDERGRADUATE (UG)
- POST GRADUATE (PG): WAEC/WASSCE 1st Degree Certificate, Masters Degree
- Letter of recommendation and NYSC discharge certificate.
NB: The following must be submitted to the Federal Scholarship Board by candidates who have been recommended by the Board:
Academic certificates that have been authenticated; the data page of the current international passport; specific medical reports from government hospitals; a birth certificate and an indigenous letter; and, if necessary, a police clearance certificate.
