Is Bayelsa Igbo?
Bayelsa state is located in the south south of Nigeria, in the heart of the Niger Delta region .
It was separated from Rivers state to stand independently in the year 1996 making it one of the newest states in Nigeria.
Now looking at the igbos , they are located predominantly in states like Anambra, Imo, Abia ,Ebonyi and Enugu.
Apart from the afore listed states , states like Delta and Rivers also have a considerably number of igbos in their population.
So answering the question “Is Bayelsa Igbo?” Information central concludes that whereas it is not really an Igbo state it has a significant number of igbos living there.
